Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed has won the second Bahrain Amateur Open Golf Championship, outclassing 100 contenders who registered to take part in the event.
The Bahrain Golf Association (BGA) is organizing the two-day tournament, which will open on Friday (Nov27) at the Royal Golf Club, in Riffa Views.
Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed won the trophy after totaling 147 points, followed by Saud Al-Sharif and Matt Vorous (174 pts), Khalifa Al-Marissi (148 pts), Mohammed Dheyab Al-Nuaimi (148 pts) and Fahd Al-Hakam (150 pts).
BGA Chairman Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi commended the large number of golfers who took part in the second edition of the championship, praising the budding talents who will join national teams in the coming years.
