Bahrain has clinched two medals at the 22nd Arab Men’s Bodybuilding Championship, the 13th Youth Bodybuilding and the second Physique and Classic Physique event, held here on July 28-31, with the participation of 15 Arab countries.

Khalid Jassim clinched gold and the world professional card in the 70kg category, while Ali Ibrahim won the bronze medal in the Physique competition.

Ali Saqr Al Banali was not far from the podium either, as he registered his name among the top six qualifiers in the 90kg category, after finishing fifth in the competition.

On the sidelines of the championship, Bahrain Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation President, Sami Al-Haddad, held a meeting with the Vice-President of the Saudi Bodybuilding Association, Qassim Al-Laith, with whom he discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two federations.

Al-Laith commended the honourable achievements of the Bahrain bodybuilding team, highlighting Bahrain’s distinction in this sport thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s ongoing support.

The national team is expected to return to Bahrain on Tuesday, where they will resume their preparations for the Asian Championship, to be hosted by Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on September 2-5.
