Bahrain Amateur Open Golf Championship to start on Friday

Ninety-six golf players have registered to take part in the second Bahrain Amateur Open Golf Championship. The Bahrain Golf Association (BGA) is organizing the two-day tournament, which will open on Friday (Nov27) at the Royal Golf Club, in Riffa Views. Amateur players affiliated with golf clubs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries. BGA Deputy Chairman, and championship director Duaij Khalifa Al-Eid said that the amateur tournament builds on the success of the association in organizing the King Hamad International Golf Cup for 15 years. “The success story of the championship has earned the Kingdom of Bahrain a spot on the map of championships and events”, he said. He stressed the importance of the championship which provide amateur players the opportunity to compete and showcase their talent”, he said. He said that the tournament represents also a fertile ground to reinforce national teams with promising players with great potential. The 2nd Bahrain Amateur Open Golf Championship is being sponsored by Banz Group, Reza Trading Co., Riffa View and Paradise Square.
