Team Bahrain has a dominant force within the squad and will look to him to lead the way at the IMMAF World Championships. Pasha Kharkhachaev is the reigning world champion in the Super-Heavyweight division and will go for double gold this year, as the Olympics of MMA descend upon the Kingdom of Bahrain during the BRAVE International Combat Week.
The championships will take place at the Khalifa Sports City Arena, in Isa Town, Bahrain, and Pasha is the favorite to take a new gold medal to his growing collection in the IMMAF tournaments. He will be up against the best fighters in the world in his weight class but is confident that he can become yet another double-world champion.
Pasha has also had an amazing year in other competitions, taking gold medals at the Asian Open and the European Championships, under the watchful eye of His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the KHK MMA team.
He will be in the running to get other prizes during the week, as he has been nominated as Senior Male Athlete of the Year, as well as having the Best Performance of the Year, at the IMMAF Awards, which will also take place in Bahrain during the BRAVE International Combat Week.
The IMMAF World Championships will run from November 10th to November 16th, with more than 500 athletes from 50+ countries competing for world domination in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
