Bahrain’s KHK and Victorious teams dominated the first round of the Dubai Traditional Rowing Championship, organised by the Dubai International Marine Club, in the UAE.
Owned by Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, KHK came first in the race in the 30-feet boat category, with captain Ahmed Nasser Al Bousumait at the helm.
Victorious, owned by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, came second led by captain Abdulla Khalifa Al Hiddi outclassing Dubai Police, which finished third in the 2300-metre race.
KHK and Victorious now stand a good chance of qualifying for the prestigious Al Maktoum International Race next month.
KHK clinched the Al Maktoum International Race Cup in the 30-feet boat category in 2020, while Victorious finished fourth.
