The first Arabian horse beauty championship for Egyptian breed was held today on the grounds of Military Sports Association at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club in Al Raffa.
His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa directed to organise the competition.
The maiden championship was held under the patronage of BREEF Chairman HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the success of Arabian beauty championships, hailing the large participation which marked the first competition which was held for local bree over the past two days.
“The diversity of activities related to Arabian horse beauty sports and their sweeping popularity motivated the federation to continue organising various events, especially as the Kingdom of Bahrain has become a home for equestrian sports, particularly Arabian horses”, he said.
He commended owners, breeders and stables for their participation, stressing the importance of diversifying equestrian tournaments and working to develop them to keep pace with the great development witnessed by the various sports in Bahrain.
“The Arabian Horse Beauty Championship is the favorite sport of the equestrian sport public and it is important to work on developing this competition annually in order to maintain its continuity”, he said.
