Manama, Nov. 20 (BNA): Deputy Chairman of the High Authority of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa underlined the continuous pioneering role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in hosting and organising international races on its land thanks to the national competencies in has in this field. He stressed the great interest accorded by the kingdom to horses, in general, and the horse racing sport, in particular, which enabled its stables to compete in international championships. He affirmed that the achievements made in the horse racing field were brought about thanks to the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa was speaking as he attended today the second edition of the Bahrain International Trophy horse race which was held on the track of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, with the participation of owners, trainers, jockeys and horses from international stables.
HH praised the strong competitions which characterised the second edition of the Bahrain International Trophy race despite the exceptional circumstances resulting from coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. He stressed that the race confirms the great potentials of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its dedication of those capabilities to support the horse racing sport in all circumstances. He affirmed the kingdom’s success in boosting its standing on the map of international races, commending the efforts made in organising the race in correlation with the outstanding national efforts of Bahrain Taskforce, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The race was attended by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Environment HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Sultaneddine bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Nader bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa and representatives of the race sponsors Batelco, Bapco and the Economic Development Board (EDB).
