HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee hailed the “deep relations” tying Bahrain and Britain which dates back to more than 200 years, confirming that the links among both countries are witnessing positive developments across various fields, especially in sports.
HH Shaikh Khalid’s remarks came during receiving the British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain HE Mr Simon Martin in Al Wadi Palace. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa exchanged with HE the Ambassador talks on the development of the MMA sport in Bahrain and how to share the experiences in this sport between both countries.
“We directed to the organising of BRAVE Championship in London on July 25, 2019 as a step to cement the relationship among both countries,” HH Shaikh Khalid announced during the event, explaining that such a step will give the Championship the opportunity to earn extra success.
From his side, the British Ambassador praised the efforts being exerted by HH Shaikh Khalid to support the relations, welcoming the initiative to host BRAVE 24 in London. He stated that the Championship’s popularity is on the rise and has a growing number of followers worldwide.
