by PowerUp Sports

Former Indian Cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin was greeted by a large gathering of fans and well-wishers as he arrived in Bahrain last night led by Mr Mohammad Mansoor, Advisor to the Bahrain Cricket Board. Azharuddin has been invited by the Bahrain Cricket Federation, whose new board just took over six months ago and their aggressive strategies have rebuilt the game of cricket in Bahrain resulting in brilliant performances by both the men’s and women’s teams.

Mohammad Azharuddin’s cricketing style has been an inspiration for many. His graceful and fluid batting style was a delight to watch. He was known for his attacking brand of cricket irrespective of the situation of the game and his superb catching, especially in the slip cordon and outfield. In fact, he was regarded as one of India’s best fielders when he retired at the age of 37.
“Mohammad Azharuddin is a cricket icon and it’s an honour for BCF to host him and a privilege for our teams to meet him and interact with him”‘ said Hatim Dadabai, President, BCF.
