Bahrain Handball Association signs new national coach

Bahrain Handball Association (BHA) has signed Incelander coach Johan Holder to lead the national team in the IHF 27th Men’s World Championship, scheduled to be held in Egypt in January 2021.

BHA National Teams Committee Chairman Fahd Al-Khathland said the new coach will suceed German Michael Roth.

 Holder will arrive early Tuesday morning a six-team first division tournament and have a first taste of the performance of players, before starting a training programme in December.
 
Al-Khathlan said that the national squad will take part in an international friendly handball tournament in Poland, before hosting the Algerian team in January.
 
Bahrain has been drawn in Group D which features Denmark, Argentina and Congo. It will be the fourth time the national squad takes part in the IHF Men’s World Championship, after Sweden, France and Germany-Denmark.
